Literary Leezentour from the District of Coesfeld

By bike and lots of culture from Billerbeck to Münster

On Saturday, 21 May, Münsterland e.V. invites you to a cultural bike tour in the Coesfeld district. The tour starts at 10.30 am at the Kolvenburg in Billerbeck. The two former heads of culture of the Münster district government - Hans-Peter Boer and Georg Veit - will read from their literary works. The two are linked not only by their former departmental posts, but also by their love of writing.

In addition to this literary programme item, visitors will also have the exclusive opportunity to take part in a guided tour of the historic roof truss of the Kolvenburg. Afterwards, the tour continues by bike to the Baumberg Sandstone Museum. With a colourful picnic bag, the participants of the tour will be provided with small culinary delicacies from the region. Afterwards, the author and poetry slammer Andreas Weber will read from his Münsterland stories. The second stage takes the tour group to Hülshoff Castle in Havixbeck. There, Dominik Renneke offers an insight into the Center for Literature and presents its current projects.

Around 6 p.m. the group reaches its destination, the Mühlenhof Open-Air Museum, where the central anniversary event "Ein Kessel Buntes" will take place in the evening. On the occasion of the anniversary "25 years RKP - Regional Cultural Programme NRW", numerous projects from the Münsterland invite young and old to a colourful programme. In addition to art and culture, there will be a delicious culinary offer.
