Law in the cultural sector

What may? What should? What must?

Unfortunately, the event is completely booked out.

Wednesday, 11 December 2019 | 10.00 a.m. - 4.00 p.m.

Pablo Picasso Art Museum Münster, Picassoplatz 1, Münster

Art law is a complex cross-sectional subject. The event will therefore first give an overview of the most important areas of law in everyday artistic life: from the question of artistic freedom to copyright law and the drafting of contracts for art exhibitions. In addition to current cases from case law, participants can bring in their own examples of legal issues.

Target group:

The event is aimed at all people working in the arts who are interested in legal issues in their everyday work. Artists are addressed just as much as galleries or museums.

Speaker:

Dennis Quasdorff, trainee lawyer at the Duisburg Regional Court

Dennis Quasdorff completed his first state examination at the Georg-August University in Göttingen, specialising in copyright and press law as well as data protection law. He has been a trainee lawyer at the Regional Court of Duisburg since February 2018. He is completing his legal traineeship at the law firm Vom Berg & Partner in Düsseldorf with a focus on art law, among other areas. His passion for art was also shaped at an early age by the family business Quensen Druck Verlag, which was also a lithographic printing business for a long time and was visited by many artists worldwide.

Venue:

Pablo Picasso Art Museum Münster, Picassoplatz 1, Münster.
