Münsterland Cultural Model

The regional cultural profile for the RKP in Münsterland (formerly the mission statement) sums up the strengths and characteristics of our region. It serves as a guideline, orientation aid and stimulus for cultural actors and their projects. It is particularly important when applying for funding from the RKP - Regional Culture Programme NRW. In 2023 it was revised with the participation of cultural actors from various fields.

THE CULTURAL REGION

The Münsterland is a cultural region that has evolved over time and whose inhabitants are shaping their future creatively. The Münsterland cultural region is characterised by, among other things:

- a dense cultural landscape with museums, event and concert halls, as well as stages of various sizes, which perform outstandingly, - a diverse, analogue as well as digital cultural offering in all genres and often at unusual locations

Potential: Established institutions

- the "Münsterland park landscape" with its mix of pastures and fields, rampart hedges, narrow ditches, small wooded areas and bodies of water, - historical buildings, modern architecture, gardens and parks, - a wide network of cycling, riding and hiking trails
