This initial consultation provides answers to these questions. It is an approximately 30-minute discussion with a patent attorney. Entrepreneurs and people starting up a business who have developed a product or want to protect a logo can ask their questions here.

It doesn't matter whether it's about technical inventions, the logo for one's own company or the design of new products: Many craft enterprises that are creatively active often ask themselves how they can protect their intellectual property. Industrial property rights, in particular patents, utility models, trade marks or design protection, offer opportunities for this.

Participants learn how best to make use of these opportunities at the inventor advisory service of the Münster Chamber of Skilled Crafts. The individual discussions with a patent attorney are scheduled to last 30 minutes. The ways of applying for an industrial property right are explained. The management of protective rights in general is also explained. The necessary documents should be brought to the meeting or - if the consultation takes place online - briefly explained.

Funding expert Dr. Kai Pflanz from NRW.BANK's Economic Development Advisory Centre answers all questions about grant funding for innovation and digitisation projects in a 30-minute initial consultation.

At the next exchange meeting of the Augmented Reality focus group, we will be looking in two directions - into the future and into practice!

A look into the future

Lukas Rengbers and Tim Seyock from Münster University of Applied Sciences will present what is currently possible in the field of augmented reality and where the technology is heading. In doing so, they also address the linking of AR and AI as well as current hardware. They also show what AR glasses could look like in the future.

In addition, the two present their "AR Assembling Guide". This ensures that 3D models of products are processed into a three-dimensional and easy-to-understand instruction manual. Appropriate instructions and animations can be used to achieve an intuitive user experience.

A look into practice

Together with his colleague Marvin Baumeister, Patrick Leufkens from NFT automates GmbH will demonstrate the possible applications of augmented reality in industry. They will share their experiences from research and development as well as from realised projects in production. In addition, they will show in two small live demos how AR can be implemented in a short time without CAD data of the plant and simultaneously connected with plant and machine data and what possibilities this opens up for any production
