Digital Health

Digital health is strongly interdisciplinary and the digitalisation of the different phases in the health sector (wellbeing, pre-acute, acute, post-acute, homecare) is a fundamental prerequisite for this. The linking of the different areas of the health system and the different sectors is achieved through applications, such as telemedicine and the exchange of patient data between the individual phases of the health system. Hardware components, e.g. (multiplexing) sensors in different medical devices, generate data that can then be shared across sectors and phases. The use of digital health technologies takes place in various areas, such as the assessment and monitoring of patients as well as the accompaniment of patients during their treatment.
