"In 2019, I saw an exciting job advertisement from the district of Borken and decided to look for a new challenge. In an interview, a trusting atmosphere was quickly created and I switched to a position in the 'hazard prevention' department at the district of Borken. The position had many different facets - from strategic planning to operational implementation. It was easy to get started, as the district administration offers a familiar working environment despite its size. The crisis team work helped to build up a good network both inside and outside the district office and to get to know many interesting people. I have been in charge of the district's admissions office since 01.01.2021. The daily responsibility in dealing with the employees and a large number of customers offers a varied working day."

"In my first years as an architect in the private sector, I already got a good insight into the field of work and the working methods of the technical building supervision of the district of Borken 'from the other side'. The positive experiences made me decide to apply there. An additional plus point were the great opportunities to be able to combine my family and professional life well through flexible working hours and part-time work. Through the training in the civil service career path of the higher service, I acquired sound specialist knowledge in building code law. The theoretical training was supplemented by assignments in various technical areas of the district, for example in immission control or environmental law. In the varied work in the office and in the field, I can always count on the good cooperation in our large team and on the support of my superiors. I am very happy to have decided to join the district of Borken!"
