Start of the RennFietsen Tour Münsterland on 13 May

MÜNSTERLAND. This year everything is different - after the RennFietsen Tour Münsterland 2020 had to be cancelled without replacement, the athletes will now take to the track in a corona-compliant manner. The starting signal will be given tomorrow (13 May) at 10 a.m. virtually via Zoom. After that, it's time for the 30 or so participants to "get on their bikes": on their own or in compliance with the applicable contact restrictions, they will ride individual routes through the region for four days. For every kilometre cycled, donations will go to the two aid organisations Stiftung AGAPEDIA and roterkeil.net.

"Even though we are not physically riding together, the sporting spirit and the will to help is unbroken among all participants," says tour leader Joachim Wechner happily.

On the tour days, the RennFietsen meet every morning in the virtual room for a warm-up and exchange. Those who want to follow the tour and participate from home can get impressions of the tour days on the Facebook channel @Rennfietsentour. Donations are still possible via www.rennfietsentour.de. The amount donated will be announced shortly after the end of the tour.

The tour is organised by the cycling teams AGAPEDIA Münsterland and Roter Keil Senden in cooperation with Münsterland e.V. innogy SE is also the main sponsor of the 12th edition of the tour.
