Legden - Familiarisation Tour

After the welcome and handover of bikes and maps, you start the Three Castles Tour via Asbeck to Darfeld and back to Legden. The cycle tour lives up to its name: you will see Varlar Castle and Egelborg House. In Legden, the parish church of St. Brigida awaits you with its famous stained glass choir window. The small collegiate village of Asbeck is also worth a visit with its collegiate church, the dormitory and the double-storey cloister, parts of which have been reconstructed. Not to be forgotten are the gatehouse Hunnenporte with its granaries and the picturesque water mill.

Make a stop at the sheep pen of the Zwillbrock Biological Station on the edge of the Amtsfeld. Enjoy the extensive moor and heath areas of the Amtsvenn-Hündfelder Moor nature reserve on your cycle tour. On quiet lonely paths you will cycle through the Witte Veen back to the German side to Alstätte.
