Blechbulten
Ein böhmisches Vergnügen aus dem Münsterland
„Bulten“ in Low German means „little heap“. Seven full-blooded musicians from the Münsterland – all professionals or semi-professionals from police and Bundeswehr orchestras – have joined forces as the „brass heap“ Blechbulten and prove with every note: Bohemian-Moravian brass music can sound Westphalian too.
Polkas, waltzes, marches – the great classics of the genre naturally belong to the repertoire („Bohemian Dream“, „Egerland Musicians' March“). The seven also surprise with their own arrangements of „Sweet Caroline“, „Proud Mary“ and „Hey Jude“. Their musical advisor is Herman Engelbertinck, for more than 30 years a member of the „Original Egerländer Musikanten“ under Ernst Mosch.
At „Trompetenbaum und Geigenfeige“, the Blechbulten will play on 12 July at the Religio Museum in Telgte. A rousing Sunday afternoon on which there will almost certainly be tapping, clapping and laughing.
