SUSTAINABILITY
The Münsterland Festival is a cultural flagship project for the region. We take responsibility for the environment and resources and combine our European-oriented artistic concept with sustainable, communal and nature-loving action. The aim is to promote ecological sustainability in all areas of the festival, to reduce environmental pollution and to act as a role model for THE GOOD LIFE in the regional cultural landscape.
Our vision: The Münsterland Festival will become climate-neutral in dialog with its partners!
IN CONCRETE TERMS THIS MEANS:
We want to further reduce our CO₂ emissions with every festival edition from 2027. part 13 forms the basis for this - we are recording the festival's emissions here for the first time.
We have already defined climate-friendly measures in our environmental guidelines and our Green Mobility Commitment, which we are implementing, for example on waste avoidance and sustainable travel behavior.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
You don't need to print out your ticket! Simply show it on your smartphone or tablet at the entrance. This saves paper, ink and time.
With our compensation euro, you voluntarily pay one euro more when you buy your ticket and thus support a nature conservation project in the region: the reforestation of the climate protection grove in Hörstel-Riesenbeck. Here, a deciduous forest is being created on around 1.9 hectares of farmland belonging to our cooperation partner, the Steinfurt District Nature Conservation Foundation.
In this way, you help to offset the CO₂ emissions of the event you attend - and make a contribution to a healthier local climate.
Want to donate independently of buying a ticket? No problem! You can also support the reforestation project this way!
No bus to the venue? Why not try carpooling? Not only will you save fuel and reduce emissions, but you can also meet nice people who share your interest in music, art and culture.
On our event pages you will find a link to the online service fahrpool. There you can make free seats available in your car or book your ride.
