ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
SERIES OF EVENTS WITH MUSIC, ART AND DIALOGS
Every two years for one month in the fall, the Münsterland Festival brings the traditions and attitude to life of a European region into the Münsterland with music, art and dialog - among the people. This is what makes the series of events, which began in 2005, so special. The extensive program is not only to be found in the region's large event halls, but also at special, often somewhat smaller venues - for example at castles and palaces, buildings with modern architecture and places with history.
JAZZ, POP, FOLK AND CLASSICAL MUSIC
The musical focus is on jazz, pop, folk and classical music and is complemented by a wide range of exhibitions and excursions. The artists represent the cultural diversity and current trends of the respective host region, although they do not necessarily have to be well-known stars. Much more important is the mutual open-mindedness. Thanks to the unusual physical proximity between music makers and audience, the concerts in particular also create an emotional closeness that turns the concert into a togetherness. Exhibitions, a graphics project and dialogs expand the intensive engagement with the culture of the host region. In this way, the Münsterland Festival makes its contribution to cosmopolitan cordiality and lived tolerance.

As one of the strongest regional management organizations in Germany, Münsterland e.V. promotes culture, tourism and the economy in Münsterland. Around 50 employees work with a lot of heart for THE GOOD LIFE in Münsterland and drive the development of the region for its 1.6 million inhabitants. The Münsterland Cultural Office of Münsterland e.V. coordinates the Münsterland Festival. The project is supported by the state funding program "Regionales Kultur Programm NRW".
