LUCIANO BIONDINI, KLAUS FALSCHLUNGER FEAT. NITI RANJAN BISWAS
A multi-faceted trio that combines fascinating soundscapes between jazz, global music, improvisation and poetry. The Italian accordion virtuoso Luciano Biondini, the Austrian sitar master Klaus Falschlunger and the Amsterdam-based tabla player Niti Ranjan Biswas present a sound that carries the breath of Western and Eastern traditions - lyrical, powerful and full of surprising lightness.
Luciano Biondini, one of the most expressive and versatile accordionists in Europe, is one of the most influential voices in contemporary music. His musical language ranges from Italian folklore to jazz and improvisation with global influences.
Klaus Falschlunger is considered one of the most sought-after European sitar players and combines classical Indian raga structures with Western harmony, rhythmic openness and the tonal diversity of contemporary global music.
Niti Ranjan Biswas is one of the most creative and at the same time most tradition-conscious tabla players in Europe. He brings the rhythmic soul of India to the trio with elegance, virtuosity and powerful energy.
In their joint album "Once In A Blue Moon", three unique musical personalities combine Indian melodies, jazz improvisation, European chamber music and folkloristic elements to create a single sound. Their music tells stories without words - a lively, emotional interplay full of exuberant joy of playing.
