The Münsterland Festival would be nothing without its characteristic locations. The festival deliberately takes place at beautiful and exciting locations throughout Münsterland - at palaces and castles, places with history, in modern architecture. The Münsterland Festival invites you to get to know the Münsterland even better and immerse yourself in the cultivated lifestyle of the region.

OLD SCHWAKE DISTILLERY

The Alte Amtmannei, once a residence for the local bailiffs, is now a popular venue for concerts, conferences and cultural events such as readings, exhibitions and much more.

OLD SCHWAKE DISTILLERY

The Alte Brennerei Schwake is a cultural center in a former schnapps distillery in Ennigerloh. The venue not only hosts a variety of events, but also the smallest cinema in NRW.

OLD TOWN HALL SCHÖPPINGEN

The council chamber in the old town hall in the center of Schöppingen, built in 1583 in the Münsterland Renaissance style, now functions as a cultural venue.

BAGNO CONCERT GALLERY

The Bagno Concert Gallery is the oldest free-standing concert hall in Europe. Events and concerts take place here regularly.

B-SIDE

The B-Side is an open place of possibilities that is developed, designed and managed by many people in a self-organized way. It is located in the former Hill warehouse directly on Münster's harbor.

COMMUNITY CENTER SAERBECK

The former Hunnekuhl farm is one of Saerbeck's old farms and was first mentioned around 1400.

VISCHERING CASTLE

Vischering Castle is one of the most beautiful moated castles in Münsterland. Changing art exhibitions in the outer bailey and numerous cultural events always attract many guests.

DA, ART HOUSE GRAVENHORST MONASTERY

The DA, Kunsthaus Kloster Gravenhorst in Hörstel is a monument, studio and cultural tourist attraction. The monastery complex is almost completely preserved.

DRAIFLESSEN CONFERENCE

The Draiflessen Conference combines music and business. In addition to conferences and meetings, the event center regularly hosts musical events.

ONE

einsA is nestled in the inner city district of Dülmen. The modern building complex was opened in 2019 and serves as a central meeting point for all generations.

FALKENHOF MUSEUM

The estate was probably built during the Carolingian period and was given its name in the 14th century by the noble tenant family von Falke. The Falkenhof has been Rheine's town museum since 1962.

FARB FORUM ALTES RATHAUS BORKEN

The Forum Altes Rathaus Borken, or FARB for short, is the cultural center of the town of Borken. Find out more ...

GALLERY HOVESTADT

In the Hovestadt Gallery in Nottuln, past and present meet in a unique way.

HOUSE BRÜCKHAUSEN

Haus Brückhausen was an influential manor house in the region for centuries. The beamed stucco ceiling in the great hall, which is unique in the Münsterland region, is well worth seeing.

HAUS SIEKMANN

Haus Siekmann - a former aristocratic residence with agricultural use - is the center for social and cultural education and communication in the town of Sendenhorst. The Münsterland Festival part 12 is a guest in the barn with its fine acoustics.

MONASTERY BENTLAGE

Nature and culture in harmony - that is the extraordinary appeal of the Bentlage Monastery in Rheine. Since the early 1990s, the institution has established itself as an important center for contemporary art in the Münsterland region.

KREATIV-HAUS

Built in 1913 by architect Hilger Hertel the Younger, the two-storey building combines neo-Renaissance and Art Nouveau elements.

CULT

The kult has been in Vreden since 2017. It combines state-of-the-art architecture, museum, research and science like no other building in western Germany.

CULTURAL STATION HILTRUP

Originally a reception building at the train station in Hiltrup, the Kulturbahnhof is now an established venue for a wide variety of cultural events.

CULTURAL ESTATE HAUS NOTTBECK

The former manor of Haus Nottbeck is located in the Münsterland parkland on the edge of the Stromberg district of Oelden. Its history can be traced back to the 14th century.

CULTURAL CENTER GBS

The almost 100-year-old walls of the Greven cotton mill (GBS) are a reminder of the heyday of the textile industry, which shaped Greven well into the 20th century. Today's cultural center hosts, among others, the Münsterland Festival part 12.

ART GALLERY BURKAMP

The Kunsthalle Burkamp is a unique facility in the former glassworks in Haltern am See. In addition to exhibitions, coaching sessions, workshops and painting demonstrations also take place here.

ART MUSEUM AHLEN

Situated in a prestigious location at the former west gate of the town, a handsome villa from the Wilhelminian era has been home to the Ahlen Art Museum since 1993.

ART MUSEUM PABLO PICASSO

Behind the listed façade in the middle of Münster's old town is a modern museum building that houses the first and so far only Picasso Museum in Germany.

OLD SCHWAKE DISTILLERY

The former Herding spinning mill building combines industrial architecture and state-of-the-art architecture. Since its reopening in 2024, the LernWerk has been a central location for education and culture in Bocholt.

LWL MUSEUM OF ART AND CULTURE

The LWL Museum of Art and Culture is known as a regional identity creator far beyond the borders of Westphalia and has a special appeal.

OLD SCHWAKE DISTILLERY

The former Cistercian monastery has belonged to the Haus Hall Foundation since 1985, which operates facilities for people with mental and multiple disabilities: Residential groups, a workshop, leisure activities and day groups for senior citizens.

MUSEUM ABBEY LIESBORN

The historic walls of the former Benedictine abbey in Wadersloh are now home to the Liesborn Abbey Museum.

OLD SCHWAKE DISTILLERY

The Altrogge-Terbrack riding school in Nottuln is idyllically situated in the middle of the Baumberge mountains. The combination of equestrian sport and a retreat close to nature makes the farm a special place in the heart of Münsterland.

RELÍGIO

The RELíGIO - Westphalian Museum of Religious Culture in Telgte provides insights into the themes of pilgrimage, Cardinal von Galen and the changing nature of Christmas customs.

AHAUS CASTLE

Ahaus Castle, once the hunting residence of the prince-bishops of Münster, stands on the site of an 11th century castle. The baroque new building was constructed between 1688 and 1695 under Ambrosius von Oelde. Today it is a cultural center and the town's most important monument.

NORDKIRCHEN CASTLE

Nordkirchen Castle is one of the best-known and most popular excursion destinations in the Münsterland region. It is an impressive example of great architecture.

OLD SCHWAKE DISTILLERY

The Maria Hilf chapel, which was completed in 1899, is the focal point of the imposing complex. Next to it is the 35-metre-high water tower dating from 1907.

STROETMANNS FACTORY

For more than 100 years, Stroetmann's factory in Emsdetten was a place of work; after its closure in the 1980s, cultural and social life moved into the building.

THEATER AND CONCERT HALL GESCHER

Theater Münster is one of the city's largest cultural institutions and has a long tradition dating back to its first performance in 1956.

MOATED CASTLE HAUS MARCK

Haus Marck is located below the town of Tecklenburg in the immediate vicinity of the Teutoburg Forest. The single-storey moated castle dates back to the second half of the 16th century.

MOATED CASTLE RAESFELD

Raesfeld moated castle is an impressive moated castle in Westmünsterland. It dates from the 14th to 17th century.
