Prinzipal Brass

Wind ensemble with a passion for tango and more

When the first bars of „Indiana Jones“ ring out and everyone suddenly sits up straight, „Prinzipal Brass“ is at work. The semi-professional brass ensemble from Münster emerged in 2024 from the University of Münster ensemble „Galaxy Brass“ – it now performs regularly with its own programmes.

The musicians arrange all of their pieces themselves and craft every movement with great attention to detail. In 2026 Prinzipal Brass focuses on film music: „Indiana Jones“, „West Side Story“, „Gabriel's Oboe“ from „The Mission“ and other classics one usually only hears with a full symphony orchestra – here freshly arranged for brass alone.

At „Trompetenbaum und Geigenfeige“, Prinzipal Brass will perform on 6 September at Sachsenhof in Greven. An open farmyard, dense brass, big music – it fits together like a trumpet and a summer evening. Season finale of the 2026 series.
