This summer, Heike Hallaschka, Gerd Radeke and Christiane Alt-Epping will present their new programme "Island Sounds" in the attractive line-up of soprano, trumpet and piano: folkloristic music from the "Emerald Isle" of Ireland , "Very British Music" from Good Old England, a rarity from the Danish island of Zealand, romantic music from the island kingdom of Venice, but also favourite music that you would like to take with you to the proverbial desert island. From 2023, the listed park and garden of the moated castle Haus Stapel will be shown in regular guided tours by the owner Dr Mechthild Freifrau Raitz von Frentz. "Ways of love" - a wide field! Sit back and enjoy what soprano Heike Hallaschka and bass-baritone Maximilian Kramer - who already impressed the audience last summer with their programme "Mein Mädel hat einen Rosenmund" ("My Girl Has a Rose Mouth") - have to say about these paths in song in the inner courtyard of the Haus Stapel moated castle while enjoying picnic delicacies you have brought yourself. There are plenty of chairs and deckchairs to listen to the two sing romantic, joyful and heartbreaking solos and duets. Planned are two absolute classics of the ways of love: Antonín Dvořak's "Gypsy Melodies" and Johannes Brahms' "Gypsy Songs", but also popular numbers from the musicals "Phantom of the Opera", "West Side Story" and "Mary Poppins". Accompanying on the piano and soloist: Prof. Clemens Rave.

The classic: piano recital by candlelight at Haus Stapel with Clemens Rave. The renowned pianist and expert for the special Knake grand piano from 1873, which has been in the hall for over 140 years, plays his now 10th piano recital in the historic ballroom of the moated castle, illuminated by the two large old chandeliers. In his recital, Clemens Rave illuminates an ever-fascinating theme: "Wunderkinder" - juvenile strokes of genius by Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Liszt, Chopin and Korngold.

Franz Schubert's "Winterreise", the best-known, most popular - and most melancholy - song cycle of the Romantic period, will be performed in the historic ballroom of the moated castle Haus Stapel. The hand-painted wallpaper from around 1820 in the ballroom, which was painted during Schubert's lifetime, and the 150-year-old Knake grand piano provide the authentic ambience for the 24 songs performed by soprano Heike Hallaschka and pianist Ulrich Rademacher, professor emeritus for song accompaniment at the Cologne Musikhochschule and an intimate connoisseur of this icon of music history.
