Part-time training

Anyone who has children to look after, is caring for a relative or is physically disabled can still do vocational training - part-time. TEP (part-time vocational training - support entry - open up prospects) provides participants with additional organisational support and helps them to prepare for the best possible start to their training. It accompanies them in their search for an in-company part-time training place and provides assistance in reconciling family and training. Participants receive coaching, training and professional preparation as well as individual support during the first few months of training.

In principle, companies and employees can reduce the working hours (and pay) for part-time training to 25, usually 30 hours per week, including vocational school lessons, without extending the duration of training. The daily working time should not exceed six hours. If this number of hours is still too high, it is possible to extend the training programme by up to one year and reduce the working week to 20 hours including vocational school. Both of these options are also possible if the training programme is already underway.
