KOMPASS - Compact help for solo self-employed people

Demand for the KOMPASS funding programme remains very high. In order to ensure rapid processing, the issue of qualification cheques will be limited nationwide in the period from May to probably October 2026. This regulation applies to all contact points. It is therefore not possible to guarantee that a qualification cheque will be issued promptly in all cases. Please take this into account in your planning and only contact one contact point. Multiple enquiries lead to delays in the overall process. To ensure a quick and successful application, please coordinate the entire application process closely with your contact point and use their support throughout. Please note that there is no legal entitlement to funding. We will inform you of any changes here. We thank you for your understanding.
Non-personalised enquiries without a personal address, which give the impression of multiple enquiries (for several contact points), cannot be answered - in line with the Ministry's comments above on slowing down the process.

For whom?

• Solo self-employed with max. one full-time employee (part-time employees on a pro-rata basis).
• Commercial or freelance solo self-employed persons in their main occupation
• Business must have existed for at least two years

What?

• Qualification to further develop/secure the business model
• or the handling of new workplace technologies
• or which promotes the ability to change and the future
• Minimum duration: 20 hours

How much?

• 90 % of the pure qualification costs, max. 4,500€
