The regional agency also focuses on the possibilities of cooperation between people with and without disabilities in a company as an important current labour market policy topic. It also promotes the participation of people with disabilities in the labour market.

The regional agency will show interested stakeholders in the region what examples and ways of inclusion for good co-operation between people with and without disabilities already exist in Münsterland during discussions with employers and company tours of various integration companies in the districts of Münsterland and the city of Münster.

The following brochure provides a compact and practical overview of opportunities, funding and concrete examples of success in employing people with disabilities. 5 per cent more inclusion is 5000 per cent more potential

People with disabilities are a great asset - also in the workplace. But even today, they are still disadvantaged on the general labour market. The "Inclusion Münsterland" campaign aims to change this. The goal: fewer restrictions and more inclusive working environments.

The campaign is supported by more than 40 associations, chambers, job centres, business development agencies and many other partners in the region, including the Münsterland Regional Agency.

The patron of the campaign is Mathias Mester, German champion, world champion and Paralympic silver medallist in shot put.

Inclusion cheque NRW

With the inclusion cheque, good ideas and activities are supported locally with the cheque. The state of North Rhine-Westphalia funds up to 300 inclusive projects each year and thus supports the inclusion of people with disabilities locally in an uncomplicated and unbureaucratic way. Associations, organisations or initiatives can now apply for a lump sum of 2,000 euros for their activities in North Rhine-Westphalia. All applications can easily be submitted online at www.soziales.web.nrw.de.

The selection of the financially supported projects depends on the receipt of the application. So the sooner you apply, the better your chances of receiving an inclusion cheque.
