Networked educational spaces in the Münsterland
The Münsterland is an economically diverse and strong region. It benefits from a good mix of medium-sized companies and a solid industrial base.
However, the region faces a number of challenges, such as meeting the demand for skilled labour and the need to adapt to the digital transformation. Demographic change and the integration of foreign labour are other key issues. Initiatives for further vocational training and the promotion of innovation are therefore particularly important in order to maintain competitiveness.
The three employment agencies, five job centres, the North Westphalia Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Münster Chamber of Crafts, the German Trade Union Confederation and the Münsterland Regional Agency have founded the Münsterland Networked Education Areas association to focus on vocational training.
The aim of this collaboration is to show citizens and employers
- make the diversity of local training and qualification programmes more transparent,
- improve the visibility of regional counselling and support services offered by all stakeholders and
- facilitate low-threshold access to vocational and in-company further training.
