Villa Medica in Rhede

The Kram- weekly market in Rhede is a combination of a traditional Krammarkt (non-food items) and a regular weekly market (food), which takes place on five Wednesdays in the town centre. The stalls stretch from Gudula Church to Town Hall Square and the range of goods on offer is varied, from clothing, leather goods, pots and everyday essentials to fresh fruit and vegetables; the weekly market runs until around 1 pm, whilst the Krammarkt sometimes stays open longer, until 6 pm.

At the weekly market, vibrant colours and wonderful scents come together. The stalls offer fruit and vegetables straight from the field, herbs, honey, bread and cheese from local producers. You can feel the producers’ passion in every product – sun-ripened tomatoes, crisp apples and artisan-baked bread. As well as being a culinary delight, the market strengthens the local community: you can chat with the stallholders, swap recipes and discover new favourites. It’s well worth a visit all year round, especially when the produce is at its best.

Under the title ‘Life’s Work’, we are exhibiting the collected works of the Rheder artist Mihailo Kostic. Mr Kostic had approached us to present his works at a sales exhibition, so that as many pieces as possible might find good homes.

Sadly, he passed away before the project could be realised. Our promise to sell the paintings on his behalf made him very happy before his death.

Playful discovery through all the senses is at the heart of these varied sensory workshops for parents with children from walking age up to around four years old. Every week, a new theme invites participants to feel, marvel, try things out and explore together. Age-appropriate activities and creative sensory experiences create a stimulating environment in which curiosity, perception and shared experiences are naturally encouraged.
