The Münsterland winter magic: warm and cosy

The perfect winter drink for a picnic in the snow and icy temperatures is the "Münsterländer Winterzauber". It convinces with its wintry taste and the special Münsterländer ingredient, the Gräftenwasser. The punch spice blend mixed with the black tea provides a feeling of comfortable warmth at a winter picnic. The agave syrup provides the right sweetness and the limes a fruity note. What could be better than a warm drink at a winter picnic, with or without alcohol? Just give it a try!

Ingredients

For 4 servings:

1 litre water
4x 4cl Gräftenwasser juniper
4 bags of black tea
1 portion punch spice mix
4 juniper berries
1 lime (juice and zest)
some agave syrup

The quantities may of course vary according to taste.

For the alcohol-free version, simply omit the water and the perfect winter magic is ready.

...and this is how it is done

Make the black tea as usual and let it steep for a while.
In a pot, steep the tea with the punch spice mix, juniper berries, lime juice, zest and agave syrup at a low temperature for about 15-30 minutes (depending on taste).
Then strain everything and pour into your favourite cup or thermo mug.
Finally, for the alcoholic version: add the juniper water and stir.

Your delicious "Münsterländer Winterzauber" is ready!
