Hot-dip galvanising
Hot-dip galvanising
Hot-dip galvanising protects steel from corrosion. In this process, the steel object is immersed in molten zinc (approx. 450° C). The process distinguishes between (discontinuous) piece galvanising and (continuous) strip galvanising, whereby strip galvanised steel is a semi-finished product that is formed, stamped or cut to size after the process. In contrast, piece galvanised components are first constructed and then galvanised.
Prerequisites for use:
Immersion baths with zinc heated to approx. 450° C.
