Welcome to Beelen!

Beelen is located in the district of Warendorf about 45 minutes by car east of Münster. You can reach Osnabrück and Münster/Osnabrück Airport (FMO) just as quickly, and Paderborn/Lippstadt Airport is just under an hour away. The district town of Warendorf borders on Beelen, and it takes about 15 minutes to get to its town centre. Bielefeld is just over half an hour away.

From Beelen station you can travel directly to Münster, Gütersloh and Bielefeld.

Tip: The Münsterland is a cycling region! 4,500 kilometres of cycle paths offer you almost unlimited possibilities in the city and in the countryside: you can commute to work comfortably by bike and go on great tours with friends and family.

The heart of Beelen is the historic church square, which is located near the railway station. To the north, south and east of this old town centre are housing estates where most of the approximately 6500 inhabitants live. To the west is a commercial area.
In the Münsterland park landscape around the main town are ten small farming communities that also belong to the municipality.

Even if rental and purchase prices follow the general real estate trend overall, there are still numerous niches to be discovered in Münsterland when building, buying or renting. In the rural areas of Münsterland, the average rental price per square metre is between five and seven euros, and the average purchase price for flats and houses per square metre is 2100 euros.

Near the train station and on the eastern outskirts of Beelen areseveral supermarkets where you can get everything you need for everyday life. The neighbouring town of Warendorf, for example, offers more shopping opportunities.

Four kindergartens and day-care centres take care of the youngest children in Beelen. Other care options - for example, childminders - are organised by the association "Eltern für Kinder e.V." (Parents for Children).

There is a primary school in Beelen, which also offers open all-day care.
Secondary schools are located in neighbouring towns, for example a secondary modern school, a comprehensive school and two grammar schools in Warendorf.

Most of the companies in Beelen are small and medium-sized enterprises, including service providers, craftsmen, mechanical engineers, construction and logistics companies.
