EmsRadweg website presents itself in a new look

MÜNSTERLAND. In a modern design, easy to use and also optimally accessible on mobile devices: this is how the new internet presence of the EmsRadweg at www.emsradweg.de presents itself. The centrepiece is the new tour planner, which allows travellers to put together their own cycling tour according to their own wishes.

By entering the starting point and destination as well as the personal travel speed, the programme determines the respective stages and overnight stops and compiles important information such as accommodation options, gastronomy or sights. Particularly practical: "So that the map is always at hand during the cycle tour, it can be downloaded and printed out by the traveller," explains Katrin Heimsath from the EmsRadweg office in Hövelhof, who is responsible for the relaunch of the website.

So that cycle tourists have a better geographical orientation along the 375 kilometre long cycle path, a reference is always made between the places and the associated region. The place pages provide detailed information about the local points of interest (POIs) - including a map view so that it is exactly visible how far the respective point is from the EmsRadweg. A special service: Diversions along the route are also shown on the maps and explained on the corresponding sub-page.

Also new are so-called adventure worlds, which provide information on special topics such as "Cycling and Canoeing" or "Regional Cuisine" and create an incentive to get to know certain places and regions more intensively. The North Sea island of Borkum, which can be reached by ferry from Emden, is also presented in detail on the new website as a plus point of the Ems Cycle Path.

Michael Kösters, general representative of Münsterland e.V., which also markets the EmsRadweg, emphasises the picturesque landscape along the Ems, especially in Münsterland: "The Ems meadows between Warendorf and Rheine are among the most beautiful sections of the route. We have been supporting the Ems Cycle Path as one of our most important cycle paths for years. The new website makes a decisive contribution here."

The site was designed and technically implemented by the Delbrück-based marketing agency gotoMedia.

A printed tour planner and a flyer are available free of charge from Münsterland e.V.: 02571 949392 or touristik@muensterland.com.
