Funding for creative artists: Applications for the ‘RKP – Regional Culture Programme NRW’ can be submitted until 30 September
Anyone planning a cultural project in the Münsterland region and wishing to collaborate with partners from the region can now apply for funding: Through the RKP – Regional Culture Programme NRW, the state of North Rhine-Westphalia supports collaborative cultural projects that provide fresh impetus, strengthen networks and further develop the cultural landscape in the region. Applications can be submitted until 30 September.
“The RKP offers a great funding opportunity for creative ideas in the region, for both small and larger projects,” says Andre Sebastian, Head of the Kulturbüro des Münsterland e.V. State funding covers up to 50 per cent of total expenditure. In addition to a good idea, applicants must have at least three partners from at least two local authorities in the Münsterland region. The programme is aimed at a broad spectrum of stakeholders – alongside creative clubs, associations, local authorities, institutions and independent organisations, private individuals may also apply for grants. A consultation with the Kulturbüro des Münsterland e.V. is mandatory for the application process; the office also provides support with questions regarding the funding programme and project planning, as well as with completing the online form. Through the ‘Supplementary Funding for Accessibility’, the RKP is also making a positive contribution to inclusion: up to 5,000 euros per project can be requested in addition for accessibility measures.
As the application process includes a number of changes this year, the Kulturbüro des Münsterland e.V. is offering targeted assistance. The team, which has been managing the RKP as the regional coordination office for many years, is hosting a free online seminar entitled ‘RKP Reminder’ as part of the Kulturakademie Münsterland on Tuesday, 14 July, from 3 pm to 5 pm, as part of the Kulturakademie Münsterland (register at go.muensterland.com/rkpreminder).
