Münsterland Picnic Days from 13 to 15 June: First programme highlights have been announced
From DJ sounds and live podcasts to concerts and ostrich farms: this year, the Münsterland Picnic Days once again invite you to a variety of events throughout Münsterland around International Picnic Day. True to the motto "Me. You. We. The Münsterland celebrates picnics!", locals, guests and picnic enthusiasts can celebrate the Münsterland lifestyle together from 13 to 15 June. The event was initiated by Münsterland e.V., which has called on the region's stakeholders to organise picnic activities. The first programme highlights have now been announced.
The Münsterland Picnic Days kick off on Friday, 13 June at the DJ picnic on Greven Beach. Between the sandy beach and palm trees, it's time to spread out your blanket, open your picnic basket and enjoy some summery beats. DJ Denis will create the right atmosphere on the Radio RST Party Truck. While the sun slowly sets, visitors can enjoy a relaxed picnic and dance.
The Freubad Stapelskotten in Münster offers a special picnic experience on Saturday, 14 June. Various local DJs will provide musical variety throughout the day and play their own sets from 5 to 8 pm - creating an atmospheric ambience for the perfect early summer evening. The event is organised by Münsterland e.V. in cooperation with RESET e.V. and the Münster Sports Office.
A piece of important history awaits guests at Ahaus Castle on Sunday, 15 June. Sarah Giese, Christoph Tiemann and Johannes Kraas will then present their podcast "Die Einkreisung" to the audience as a live radio play. The story takes us back to 1975: a mysterious death in the newly encircled city of Bocholt presents the Borken police with major challenges. Based on true events, the podcast tells of the upheavals of that time and the stories behind them. The evening will be accompanied musically by the duo "Two Blue" on saxophone and guitar. "Die Einkreisung" is part of the event series "Schilderwechsel - 50 Jahre Gebietsreform im Münsterland".
Those who want to try something completely different can look forward to various picnics with animals at the Münsterland Picnic Days. For example, Haus Hülshoff in Tecklenburg offers a goat walk with picnic, Hof Kätker in Lienen an ostrich picnic or the Reiterhof Hunsche in Lienen a pony walk with picnic.
