Picnic, music and culinary delights in the enchanted beer garden in Billerbeck

Seven restaurateurs pack their picnic baskets

A picnic in the open air, with live music and against a special backdrop: The town of Billerbeck, with the support of Münsterland e.V., invites you to join them on 21 June (Sunday) - naturally in compliance with the Corona regulations. Then the enchanted beer garden directly at the Ludgerus Cathedral in Billerbeck will become a picnic area for the time from 11 am to 4 pm. The picnickers will be catered for by seven restaurants in the town.

For this purpose, the listed beer garden with a view of the cathedral in Billerbeck, which is otherwise not accessible, will be open. Guests can stock up on picnic delicacies to take away from the participating restaurants in the town and then enjoy them in the beer garden or on the colourful bistro chairs in the town centre. "Picnicking together expresses the Münsterland attitude to life. It is sociable, down-to-earth and, especially in these times, a good way to keep your distance and enjoy the good life," emphasises Melanie Schlüters, project manager for Picnic³ at Münsterland e.V. "We are happy if the campaign offers the restaurateurs added value and if we can support them in these so difficult times. And on the Day of the Picnic on 18 June, this is just fitting."

The live band "Tree Mountains String Band" will provide the background music, and the city council's tourism department in cooperation with Münsterland e.V. will take care of the picnic flair.
