Münsterland economic region networks at Expo Real
Good discussions, exciting topics, many new contacts: The Münsterland economic region made a joint appearance at Expo Real in Munich from 7 to 9 October. The Münster|Land stand and over 20 co-exhibitors, who were active as Münsterland ambassadors, provided the perfect setting. The Münster|Land stand was jointly organised by Wirtschaftsförderung Münster GmbH and Regionalmanagement Münsterland e.V.
"Expo Real offers the ideal setting to be visible as a strong economic region beyond the regional borders," emphasises Andreas Grotendorst, CEO of Münsterland e.V. "Networking is the main focus here - not only with regional players, but also with customers, investors, other location representatives and important political guests." Guests at the Münster|Land stand included Dr Rolf Bösinger, State Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Construction, Münster's Lord Mayor Markus Lewe and District President Andreas Bothe.
The talks focused on the energy transition, challenges in the real estate industry with regard to rising costs and interest rate trends, as well as topics such as digitalisation, sustainability and the shortage of skilled workers. A number of mayors from the Münsterland region also used the trade fair to make new contacts and hold talks: The core topics included local supply in the food retail, drugstore and hotel sectors and how these can be strengthened.
"The co-exhibitors told us about very good contacts and discussions - the mood was much better than last year," says Andreas Grotendorst. "We benefited from the special mix at our stand. There were property operators as well as property developers, service providers and property financiers and business developers from the Münsterland region on site."
Expo Real itself reports a total of 1778 exhibitors from 34 countries and more than 40,000 participants from 75 countries and regions. The next Expo Real will take place from 6 to 8 October 2025. The Münsterland economic region will be there again to present itself.
