On "canoe day", after a picnic lunch and instruction in paddling techniques, you get into the boats and start your unguided canoe tour through the charming nature reserve "Emsaue". Pushed by a gentle current, you will make good progress on the winding Ems, even with a gentle paddle stroke. Experience and enjoy pure nature!

On a first taster tour, you can explore the sights around Greven. Possible destinations by bike include the "Rieselfelder" European Bird Sanctuary, the Gimbte Agricultural Museum Farm and the medieval farmstead in the Sachsenhof Open-Air Museum.

By bike and canoe along the Ems

After a long bike ride through the idyllic park and floodplain landscape and a picnic lunch, you get into the boat and start your canoe tour through the charming 'Emsaue nature reserve'. The Ems, which is mostly very gentle, is a wonderful canoeing area. Your bike will be waiting for you at the disembarkation point, where you can cycle back to your hotel.

Cycling tour around Greven

Get back on the saddle and explore the surroundings of Greven on a bike tour. A special tip: a ride along the "Schlehenroute" - approx. 45 km of cycling pleasure between Greven, Nordwalde and Altenberge await you. On this tour, the focus is on experiencing nature. A brochure with the route, entertaining information and GPS data is available free of charge on request.
