On the trail of industrial culture

The Cement Route follows flat cycle paths on a circular route around the townof Beckum. 14 stops offer an interesting insight into the region’s cement industry. The information boards tell you more about the history of the industry and how the town and the natural landscape have changed over time. Alongside the landscape parks, the diverse waterways along the route are particularly impressive.

It’s always worth stopping off on the tour. Whether at Phoenix Park for a round of disc golf, at the Blue Lagoon amidst breathtaking natural surroundings, at the viewing tower at the Kollenbach quarry, or at Höxberg with its unique panoramic views  the Cement Route brings together a wide variety of urban and rural scenery within a very short distance. At 27 km, the cycle tour is also ideal for families with children.
