Beckum

Cosmopolitan and tradition-conscious at the same time - Beckum is a town with many faces and exciting contrasts. A wide range of cultural and leisure activities, attractive shopping facilities and fine dining characterise this town, which can look back on 800 years of history.

Beckum offers a rich cultural programme

Visitors to Beckum can visit sights such as the historic town hall dating back to 1441 or the provost church of St Stephen with Westphalia's most valuable reliquary. It is also worth taking a look at the museum smithy at the Kolpinghaus, visiting the Kreisständehaus in the Westenfeuermarkt park or the cement museum.

Cycling from Beckum along the Werse cycle path

The area around Beckum is characterised by the Münsterland park landscape, but also by the cement industry, which is closely linked to the development of the town. The former quarries have been transformed into attractive recreational areas that are ideal for cycling. Or you can use the exciting route of the Werse cycle path. The route to Oelde is even a little more hilly. The reward is wonderful views over the Münsterland region. You will also pass the breathtaking Blue Lagoon nature reserve along the way.

And don't forget the Phoenix activity park with its adventure playground, disc golf course, climbing wall and more. The Höxberg with its beautiful windmill promises great views and plenty of nature. The Tuttenbrock leisure lake offers excellent swimming and sports facilities.
