Events in Bocholt

The Bocholter Kirmes is a fixed date in the calendars of the people of Bocholt and deserves to be called a folk festival. The colourful selection and mixture of high-quality and large rides as well as a wide range of offers for children and families and an attractive range of snack and bar shops make the Bocholter Kirmes an attraction far beyond Bocholt's borders.

On Wednesday, 4 November, the next Krammarkt will take place in Bocholt's city centre - the goods will mainly be presented on Gasthausplatz, St.-Georg-Platz, the market in front of the historic town hall, on Nordstrasse and Neustrasse, Osterstrasse and Neutorplatz. From 9 a.m. to 6.30 p.m., all visitors to the city centre are invited to stroll and browse through the pedestrian areas of the Krammarkt. The special variety of the wide range of products is evident at every Krammarkt in Bocholt, as the traders bring along everyday items that are often not found in the bricks-and-mortar shops. Those who like can fortify themselves at the specially set up snack stands and enjoy the delicious offerings.

Light Sunday takes place as an open Sunday on 8 November from 1-6 pm in Bocholt city centre. Highlights of this event are romantic, beautiful light illuminations that bring light into the darker time of year.

From 26 November, Bocholt's Christmas market will once again take place against the beautiful backdrop of the historic town hall with its illuminated Advent calendar on the market square, St.-Georg-Platz, Neustraße, the beginning of Nordstraße and Neutorplatz. The official opening will take place on Thursday, 26 November at 5 pm on the market square in front of the historic town hall.
