The Seeblick restaurant and flat hotel is a real family business: Lorena and Ralph Schwägerl have taken over the helm and are the second generation to run the restaurant with a lot of passion, fresh ideas and a successful blend of tradition and modernity. Their mission: regional quality and sustainability.

At Seeblick, you can expect dishes that not only impress with their flavour, but have also been awarded the Münsterland seal. This award stands for quality and regionality, as at least 80 per cent of the ingredients used come from farms and suppliers in the region. These stand for high-quality products, sustainability through short transport routes and close cooperation.

Your visit to the restaurant will be a special highlight if an event takes place at Seeblick at the same time. The garden concerts by the lake are among the most beautiful events in Gronau. Seeblick offers its popular musical dinner for musical fans and a yoga picnic by the lake for those who like it sporty. Not forgetting the many specials, such as the Mother's Day or Christmas brunch.

Tip in the city centre: Café 1836

It's the little sister of Hotel Restaurant Seeblick: Café 1836! Lorena and Ralph Schwägerl's new eatery celebrated its opening at the end of 2024. Since then, the 40 seats in the barrier-free café on Kurt-Schumacher-Platz have been mostly occupied, especially at breakfast time.

The café impresses with regional products, handmade quiches, bowls, sandwiches on fresh bread, delicious tarte flambée and wraps. For those with a sweet tooth, there are homemade cakes, pancakes, croissants and much more.
