Events in Lippetal

Lippetal and its surrounding villages offer a varied programme of events. The calendar of events ranges from the Spring Run to the ‘Dinner in White’ and the ‘Ida Festival Week’. A particular highlight for cyclists is the Fahrradthon, which always takes place on the second Sunday in August. You shouldn’t miss the Lippborg Market and funfair at the end of August either!

Today's Assen House, the "borg to Asne", was first mentioned in a document in 1376. This year therefore marks 650 years of documented history for the house. However, the prehistory of the manor and present-day monastery goes back much further, to the year 1023, when Emperor Henry II transferred property in "Honsile" to Bishop Meinwerk of Paderborn.

Dr Jörg Wunschhofer from Beckum will speak on the subject:

will give a lecture in the parlour.
