On 22, 23 and 25 August 2026, things will be hotting up again in this village on the River Lippe. Ahead of the market day on Tuesday, when early risers go bargain hunting, Monday is traditionally a day of rest.

A varied programme

A friendly atmosphere, a lively spirit and plenty of voluntary commitment – that’s what makes the Lippborg Fair so special. Around 200 fairground operators set up their stalls and carousels in the village of Lippborg in Lippetal during the fair. 

The festivities kick off on Saturday at 1 pm with a gun salute to mark the opening. You can also look forward to 30 minutes of free rides, the Lippborg marching band and fire artists.

On Sunday, the fair gets underway as early as 11 am, as it’s Family Day. Balloon artists and the mascot Stich will provide even more fun! What’s more, the local shops will also be open for Sunday shopping.

The general and livestock market on Tuesday begins at 7 am, with the street fair following at 9 am.

The organiser of the largest event in the Lippetal region is the Lippborg Trade Association (Gewerbeverein Lippborg e.V.).

Market

The weekly market takes place twice a week - on Wednesdays and Saturdays - in Beckum's parlour - the market square. In addition to regional fruit and vegetables, flowers, baked goods, dairy products, eggs, meat and sausage products, fish and other delicacies can be purchased. The weekly market also offers a variety of food options (e.g. fish products, waffles, coffee, bread and baked goods, etc.). The weekly market is also a meeting place for young and old and invites you to stroll and linger.
