Cycling at the textile plant in Bocholt

As in the entire Münsterland region, the textile factory in Bocholt is also integrated into the Münsterland cycle path network. You won't find any metres in altitude here, but you will find beautiful cycle paths to worthwhile excursion destinations. Why not cycle along the Bocholter Aa to Gemen Castle in Borken and take a short break in the Pröbstingsee - a real treat. A very nice destination, especially for families, is Anholter Schweiz in Isselburg. The park's numerous animals are just waiting for your visit. Only a few kilometres away, Anholt moated castle greets you. Definitely one of the most romantic places in the Münsterland.

To the treasures of nature

The Flamingo Route takes you to the greatest treasures of nature in the German-Dutch border region between Enschede (NL) and Borken (DE). A particular highlight is certainly the northernmost flamingo breeding colony in the Zwillbrocker Venn. But the numerous other nature reserves and diverse sights also make the Flamingo Route a very special experience.

Insider tip

Service for cyclists

Cyclists are very welcome at the TextilWerk. Bags and luggage can be left at the lockers in the spinning mill. In terms of catering, there is a café and a restaurant to choose from. You can also take a break on one of the benches in the outdoor area of the weaving mill. For small breakdowns, the museum has valves, air pump and a repair kit ready.
