Lüdinghausen Castle Picnic Area
Lüdinghausen's oldest moated castle, Burg Lüdinghausen, is located in the heart of the town. The typical Renaissance castle has been owned by the town of Lüdinghausen since 1879 and the surrounding urban landscape offers a special recreational area. Adjacent to the castle you will find the Parc de Taverny, which invites you to stroll, linger and picnic. The Parc de Taverny with its boules court, named after Lüdinghausen's French twin town, offers you a relaxed atmosphere in the middle of the town. The highlight of the park is the large water playground, which makes children's eyes light up. A ropeway, climbing frame, boules court and much more await the little ones here!
Tip: from April to October there is an evening market in the courtyard of Lüdinghausen Castle every second and fourth Friday of the month. Bread, cheese, wine, delicatessen and much more can be found here from 4 - 8 pm to take away and enjoy on site. For your picnic at the castle, you're sure to find one or two suitable delicacies there.
