A picnic area with Ems flair awaits you in Warendorf . The picnic area is located directly on the Ems cycle path, making it the ideal place to take a break on your cycle tour. Combine your picnic with a guided tour through the historic centre of Warendorf or through the NRW State Stud, the German Olympic Committee for Equestrian Sports in the north of the city.

By the way: If you would like to visit the NRW State Stud on your own, you can walk around the grounds as well as through the stables during opening hours.

Around your picnic site you will find the "Edible City". Here you can not only pick the fresh herbs for your picnic, but also experience a lot.
At various places in Warendorf, you will find fruit trees and insect-friendly plants in addition to countless raised beds for fruit and vegetables. Here, special attention is paid to the environment and everyone can enjoy the fresh delicacies. Picking is expressly permitted!

But that's not all you can do there. You will also find a participation station on site, which was created in cooperation with the Vamos association in keeping with the motto "Münsterland - local - global".
Here, everything revolves around the topic of "tomatoes" and their cultivation conditions in mass production and exploitation of the workers.
