A great picnic spot in Vreden is the Stadtpark. An impressive historic farm is set up directly on the Berkel river and numerous fitness and play facilities offer fun and recreation for the whole family. The park is located in the extension of the cultural axis (Markplatz and Kult) and is only a stone's throw away from the lively city centre. In the Stadtpark, tradition meets modernity and relaxation meets adventure! You can use the lawns or the wave loungers in the park for a break. Picnicking is expressly permitted here! Enjoy the wonderful view over the Berkel and the flowering meadow.
The centrepiece of the Stadtpark is without question the historic West Münsterland farmstead. In the meantime, with twelve different buildings originating from various places in Münsterland, a small village has been created in the middle of the Stadtpark. Picnic for all also means that there are several disabled parking spaces available when you arrive - from there, the Stadtpark can be reached barrier-free .

How to get there:
The Stadtpark can be accessed from several sides. A central car park is located at the Rundsporthalle (Up de Bookholt 10). For short-stay parking (parking disc, 2 hours), the car park directly behind the kult (Butenwall 1) is also suitable.
Info: There are also several disabled / wheelchair parking spaces at the Rundsporthalle and in front of the kult (Butenwall). From there, the Stadtpark can be reached barrier-free .
Tip: Shopping in the city centre - there are numerous options here, so nothing stands in the way of a spontaneous picnic.
