Picnic area Villa Hecking

Villa Hecking was built in 1835 by Ferdinand Rohling in the municipality of Neuenkirchen. The villa has made a significant contribution to the history of Neuenkirchen. The weaver's shuttle in the municipality's coat of arms already shows that Neuenkirchen was shaped for centuries by the textile industry that prevailed there. In 1850, the Hecking company started its operations there, making it the largest employer in the community at the time.
Today, the Leinenhändlerhaus is the meeting centre of the Neuenkirchen community and houses a library room and a fireside room for weddings.

The villa and the surrounding park can be visited daily from the outside.
