Ecoprofit award

Münsterland e.V. is committed to sustainable management and responsible behaviour. As part of its participation in the environmental consulting and climate protection programme "Ecological Project for Integrated Environmental Technology" (ÖKOPROFIT) in the district of Steinfurt, operational processes were systematically analysed and targeted measures for resource conservation, energy efficiency and environmental relief were implemented.

Measures implemented:

Reduction of paper consumption in printing and catalogue production
Switch to recycled paper
Reduction in electricity consumption through the use of switchable power strips and the elimination of landline telephones
Proper disposal of organic waste
Creation of guidelines to inform and raise awareness among employees, including on purchasing, events, catering, print products and needs-based electricity use
Provision of take-away packaging at the buffet to reduce food waste
Optimisation of internal and external communication on the topic of sustainability

About ÖKOPROFIT

ÖKOPROFIT is a co-operation project for companies and local authorities. The aim is to simultaneously reduce environmental pollution and operating costs through more efficient use of energy, water and materials. Implementation is supported by specialist workshops, individual consultations and a structured exchange of experience.
