Partner of the Climate City Münster

Münsterland e.V. has submitted a contribution to the City of Münster's Climate City Contract. This highlights the close link between the objectives of the Climate City Contract and the certification process of the Münsterland as a "Sustainable Destination".

Partners of the Climate City Contract can also become partners of the Sustainable Destination Münsterland without additional certifications or awards.

How can I join the partner network?

The certification is part of other sustainability activities of Münsterland e.V., such as the initiative Münsterland ist Klimaland. The joint initiative is organised by the four Münsterland districts, the city of Münster and Münsterland e.V. and is supported by NRW.Energy4Climate.

On 11 May 2026, Münsterland e.V.'s contribution to the City of Münster's Climate City Agreement was ceremoniously signed at an appreciation event with Lord Mayor Tilmann Fuchs.
