Cycling for children in need: "RennFietsen Tour Münsterland" with two stage lengths for the first time
The anticipation for the 16th Rennfietsen-Tour Münsterland is growing: from 29 May (Thursday) to 1 June (Sunday), more than 40 racing cyclists will once again be on the road for four days and around 600 kilometres in the Münsterland region. The Rennfietsen-Tour helps children in need and combines sport with social commitment: for every kilometre ridden, the team collects donations for the two aid organisations AGAPEDIA Foundation and roterkeil.net, which are committed to supporting children in need.
After the starting signal on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Münster/Osnabrück Airport (FMO), the Rennfietsen Tour will first head to Erle, part of the municipality of Raesfeld. "We only have one stage location this year, from which we will start a rally on each of the following days," says tour leader Joachim Wechner, explaining the special format of this year's tour. "There will also be a trip to the neighbouring Netherlands - holiday feeling included."
On Sunday, the participants will ride to Münster, where they will reach their destination, Prinzipalmarkt, at around 3 pm. Tour guides will accompany the racing cyclists along the entire route.
The Rennfietsen-Tour is organised by the cyclists of Team AGAPEDIA Münsterland and Roter Keil Senden in cooperation with Münsterland e.V. The "experienced" funds go 100 per cent to the supported organisations. Westenergie AG has been the main sponsor of the Rennfietsen-Tour Münsterland for many years.
If you would like to donate yourself, you can find everything you need to know at www.rennfietsentour.de. The amount donated will be announced shortly after the end of the tour.
