Cycling meets social engagement: Making a difference with the ‘RennFietsen Tour Münsterland’
Register now for the charity cycle ride in May 2027
Four days, hundreds of kilometres and a shared goal: to help children and young people in need. The ‘RennFietsen Tour Münsterland’, supported by Münsterland e.V., will take place for the 18th time next year. From 6 to 9 May 2027, up to 50 people will once again be pedalling to raise funds for a good cause. Anyone wishing to take part can register now at www.rennfietsentour.de.
The success of the “RennFietsen Tour” was most recently demonstrated in May, when 47,000 euros were raised. The principle behind the tour is as simple as it is effective. Participants secure sponsors who donate a pre-agreed amount for every kilometre cycled. For each of the four daily stages, there is a choice of routes of varying lengths – totalling around 600 or 400 kilometres. The individual daily stages range from 90 to 170 kilometres.
Many cyclists have been loyal to the tour for years. “We’re looking forward to introducing an even wider circle of cycling enthusiasts to the special combination of sporting challenge, community spirit and social commitment,” says tour director Joachim Wechner as registration opens.
The tour sets off on Thursday 6 May from Münster/Osnabrück Airport. Three nights’ accommodation in a multi-purpose hostel in Albersloh, including breakfast, packed lunches and dinner, are included. The traditional finale of the “RennFietsen Tour” takes place on Sunday at the historic town hall on the Prinzipalmarkt in Münster.
One hundred per cent of the total proceeds will go to the AGAPEDIA Foundation and the roterkeil.net network. Both organisations are committed to helping children in need and young people requiring support. To ensure that the donations reach the projects in full, the tour is supported by numerous volunteers, sponsors and supporters. Through financial and in-kind donations, as well as their personal commitment, they make a vital contribution to the success of the event.
The “RennFietsen Tour Münsterland” is organised by the AGAPEDIA Münsterland and Roter Keil Senden cycling teams in collaboration with Münsterland e.V.
