36,000 euros for the Rennfietsen-Tour Münsterland: Athletes cycle to a record result

From Münsterland to the Netherlands and back: after four days and 600 kilometres, the 40 or so racing cyclists on the Rennfietsen Tour reached their destination, the Prinzipalmarkt in Münster, on Sunday. 36,000 euros, more donations than ever before, were collected for children in need.

Tour leader Joachim Wechner expressed his great pleasure: "The tour was a success in every respect - in sporting terms and above all in human terms. Together we sent out a strong signal of solidarity. The record number of donations fills us with pride and motivates us to continue." 18,000 euros each will now be channelled into the work of the AGAPEDIA Foundation and roterkeil Senden e.V.

Kerstin Clev from Münsterland e.V. said: "The Rennfietsen-Tour shows how strongly community and commitment are anchored together in Münsterland. When sporting endeavour and social commitment come together so powerfully, the result is real impact - for the region and beyond."

Mayor Angela Stähler congratulated the participants at Prinzipalmarkt. Dr Jochen Reidegeld, who founded the roterkeil network more than 25 years ago, also thanked the entire team.

For the 16th edition of the Rennfietsen Tour, the participants always travelled from the Raesfeld-Erle stage location through the Münsterland region and into the Netherlands. Impressions of the tour days in text, pictures and video can be viewed on the official Facebook channel.

Helping children in need and combining sport with social commitment: that is the Rennfietsen Tour. It is organised by the cycling teams of AGAPEDIA and roterkeil Senden e.V. in cooperation with Münsterland e.V. The main sponsor is Westenergie AG. The next edition is planned for 14 to 17 May 2026.
