Münsterland-wide concert series: musicians wanted for "Trumpet Tree and Violin Fig"
Ten special locations, ten Sundays, ten concerts: Münsterland e.V. is once again inviting you to the popular open-air series "Trumpet Tree and Violin Fig" in 2026. From 21 June to 6 September, a monastery garden, a castle park, historic courtyards and green oases in Münsterland will be transformed into concert stages.
Whether jazz, brass band music, classical music, film music or Brazilian rhythms - the series brings ensembles from the region to places that visitors may only discover through the concerts. A total of ten concerts are on the programme, spread across the districts of Borken, Coesfeld, Steinfurt and Warendorf as well as the city of Münster.

- 21 June: Trio Levcatho (acoustic jazz) in the courtyard of Zionsgemeinde Münster-Handorf
- 28 June: Erwin Trio (classical music, chanson, jazz) at the Mariengarden monastery in Burlo
- 5 July: BigBand Dorsten (swing, jazz) at the Agricultural Machinery Museum in Hörstel-Riesenbeck
- 12 July: Blechbulten (Bohemian-Moravian brass music) at the RELíGIO Museum in Telgte
- 19 July: Jazzfalia (vocal jazz) in the old garden of the Landesmusikakademie NRW in Heek
- 26 July: audio quattro (classical music, jazz) at Harkotten Castle in Sassenberg
- 16 August: Manga Maluca (Brazilian music) at Hof Hesselmann in Münster-Mecklenbeck
- 23 August: Yaro Quartett (classical music) at Alter Hof Herding in Coesfeld
- 30 August: Pop String Quartet (pop) in the garden of the St.-Elisabeth-Stift in Nottuln
- 6 September: Prinzipal Brass (film music) at the Sachsenhof in Greven
Each concert starts at 5 pm, admission from 4 pm. Tickets cost 16 euros in advance and 18 euros at the box office. Children and young people are admitted free of charge.
Music and garden art can be combined at selected events: Guided tours of the gardens are offered in addition to the concerts. Whether these take place before or after the concert is indicated on the website.
