Arrival at the booked hotel in the morning, welcome and explanation of the travel documents. You start the day's cycling on the Südlohn-Oeding hut tour through the Münsterland parkland (total length 37.5 km). The route includes Oeding Castle, the Menke tower windmill dating back to 1812 and the "Haus Lohn" manor house. We recommend our local restaurants for a coffee break.

The day ends with a welcome menu with regional delicacies at the hotel you have booked. Depending on your choice of hotel, you have the option of using the hotel's own bowling alley or the nearby jeux de boules alley.

Strengthened by the rich breakfast buffet, you cycle through the varied landscape of the Dutch Achterhoek today. Your first destination is the charming border town of Winterswijk, where a leisurely stroll through the fish and produce market is on the programme (Wednesday and Saturday).

The route continues to Lievelde via typical Dutch pättkes. Find out how people and animals lived in one room, why the groom carries his bride over the threshold and how a horse oil mill works in the privately run open-air museum "Erve Kots". The "Loss Hus", the former manor house and countless interesting everyday objects fascinate young and old alike.

The nationally renowned pancake restaurant is already reserved for you. We serve pancakes of your choice, "Pilleweggen" and a "Kumme" coffee. A visit to the cheese dairy opposite is not just a culinary delight. Delicious samples ranging from nettle cheese to sage cheese, as well as many curiosities in the lovingly designed rooms are well worth a visit. The eventful day ends with a cosy dinner at the hotel (included in the half board).

After a hearty breakfast and equipped with a packed lunch, you will lace up your hiking boots today. You will hike along the former customs officers' and smugglers' paths along the border stones that have marked the border since 1765 and thus one of the oldest border routes in Europe. The total length of the Kommiesenpatts is 17.9 km. Depending on your wishes and physical condition, four different circular hiking trails of 4.8 km - 12.8 km in length are designated.
