Get on your bike: Along the Bocholter Aa you will reach the first insider tip. A garden exhibition with beautiful ponds is hidden behind the bakery. Pättkes will then lead you to Gut Heidefeld: a large park designed with great attention to detail will send you on a journey of discovery along winding paths. Continue on quiet paths across the "Green Border" to a typical Dutch farm café with a cottage garden that is home to over 350 hostas (funcias). You're sure to spot some fat hens there! The cosy medieval book town of Bredevoort is a must for a stopover. In the evening, you'll dine in a nice restaurant of your choice.

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, you can start a day full of variety. The 100 Castles Route takes you through the Westphalian park landscape to Gemen Castle or Anholt Castle. In the immediate vicinity, you can take a look at a 3,000-square-metre varied and romantic perennial garden - there is also a farmer's and herb garden to discover, small ponds and water features, dry stone walls and rock gardens, as well as fragrant roses and magnificent box hedges everywhere. Passing a monastery and a nature reserve, you reach the old manor house "Haus Kretier" on the edge of the Bocholt city forest.
