Cycle tours on the Ems Cycle Route

The Ems Cycle Path offers "river cycling pleasure" in the truest sense of the word. From its source in the Paderborn region to its mouth near Emden, the Ems forms a wonderful blue backdrop for a cycle tour on the Ems Cycle Path.

The approx. 375 kilometre long Ems Cycle Path is virtually free of inclines. This makes the cycle route ideal for families and groups. Cyclists can expect numerous highlights and an often picturesque landscape along the route. The Ems Cycle Route begins at the foot of the Teutoburg Forest and through green fields into the Münsterland region. The Ems floodplains between Warendorf and Rheine are among the most beautiful sections of the route. Well-known towns worth seeing such as Warendorf, Telgte, Münster and Rheine offer culture and enjoyment along the route.

The EmsRadweg leads through the wide landscape of the Emsland past Lingen to Papenburg with the famous Meyer shipyard. The Ems has long been navigable here and the maritime impression intensifies with every kilometre northwards. Emden, the terminus of your cycle tour on the EmsRadweg, marks the mouth of the Ems into the North Sea.
