Day 1

Reken - Heiden- Borken - Velen - Reken (approx. 45 km)

Today's cycle tour takes you via the small town of Heiden to Borken. Gemen Castle on the outskirts of Borken is one of the most interesting castles in Münsterland. A walk around Gemen Castle reveals the imposing size of the complex. Continue along flat cycle paths to Velen. Take some time and visit the beautiful historic zoo. Just a few kilometres further on, Ramsdorf Castle welcomes you with its castle museum (admission included). Accompanied by fields, meadows and forests, the cycle tour leads back to Reken.

Reken - Lembeck - Erle - Raesfeld - Reken (approx. 65 km)

Today's stage of the cycle tour includes the moated castle of Lembeck (guided tour included). Somewhat set back from the main cycle route, the castle surprises with its imposing castle walls and extensive park grounds. Erle with the"Femeiche" is the next stop on the cycle tour before the romantic Raesfeld Castle welcomes the cyclists. Hardly any other castle is so beautifully integrated into its surroundings. Admire the historic walls in one of the cafés in Raesfelder Freiheit and don't miss a short tour through the historic zoo with its lakes, forests and heathland. Beautiful cycle paths will take you back to your holiday destination Reken.

Reken - Dülmen - Merfeld - Reken (approx. 45 km)

After breakfast, you will set off today by bike to Dülmen in the heart of the Münsterland. The highlight is the wild horses at Merfelder Bruch (visit possible on Saturdays and Sundays). A glimpse of the free-roaming herd is a wonderful experience not only for horse lovers. The cycle tour leads back to Reken along the idyllic Heubach meadows.

Cycle tour around Reken

Have breakfast at the hotel for the last time. Before you leave, take the opportunity for a bike tour on the 5-Herzen tours through the municipality of Reken or cycle individually to the Hohe Mark Nature Park. Quiet wooded areas alternate with fantastic vantage points and show all the natural beauty of the Münsterland.
